Two Nations Female Hockey League Year in Review and the Future

The Two Nations Female Hockey League (TNFHL) completed it’s 4th season with our Championship Weekend held at the Super Rink in Blaine MN. Congratulations to our 2 Champions, Platinum Division Mint Cup winners Orange Crush and Gold Division Champion Winnipeg Royals. Both final games were exciting affairs with Orange Crush defeating the Manitoba Battalion 4-3 in overtime with the Crush scoring with 10 seconds left and the Winnipeg Royals defeating the Minnesota Ice Cats 2-1. We would like to thank all teams for participating in our 4th season and look forward to having to you back next year for another year of “Great Hockey at a Great Value”.

We will be reorganizing Two Nations organization to become more than a spring league effective July 1, 2010. The new organization will be called Two Nations Female Hockey (TNFH), various divisions of the Two Nations Female Hockey League ( TNFHL, new divisions will include Two Nations Female Hockey Academy ( TNFHA) and also Two Nations Female Hockey Showcase( TNFHS) , details of these new divisions will be made available shortly.

Our 2011 schedule will be published shortly, we are anticipating the following:

  • April 9-11 CDN vs CDN Wpg
  • April 24-26 USA vs USA Blaine
  • May 7-9 CDN vs USA Wpg
  • May 21-23 USA vs CDN Fargo/Moorhead
  • June 4-6 Championship Blaine

Also new to TNFHL for 2011 will be the addition of the Titanium division which will be a U12 age group with team from both Canada and USA.

We want to thank again all the many volunteers that made our 2010 such a success but
especially all the hard work done by Marty Sexton, Stephanie Cortilet and of course
Phoebe Bosc who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone Two Nations experience was a
